Daddy Longarms
Found this cute little monkey at Design Festa 2009 in Tokyo last month. Couldn’t resist taking his portrait and chatting for a bit with his creator. Apparently it took her one week to knit this bad boy, and now he is on sale. Is there no love for long armed monkeys in this cold cold world of ours?
I love amigurumi toys. A weeks seems fast to crochet a monkey – my hands would be screaming!
Haha… I wouldn’t know! My great-grandma was to crocheting as Bruce Lee was to Kung-fu, she did bedspreads just to relax, so I guess my perspective is screwed up. But I guess Japanese women are even nimbler.
