Hermès Little Red Riding Hood

Posted in Places, Shops, Stuff by tokyobling on June 17, 2010

Another fantastic shop window decoration by Hermès in Ginza. Fantastic, but absolutely not sublime like this one I talked about earlier which is the best one I have ever seen. This time around Hermès’ flagship store in Ginza takes on the story of the Little Red Riding Hood and lets the theme of the decoration actually spill over and recreate the entrance to the store. Again it’s main object is the scarves, an increasingly popular alternative for Hermès loving but budget minded Japanese women. And their boyfriends, I presume.

The times I have visited the Hermes store in Paris I remember thinking this place doesn’t need more visibility, rather much less visibility! Packed of people from dawn to dusk…! Ginza is much more competitive, and Japan is their main market after all.
