Pepsi Mont Blanc
If you’ve been reading this blog for a few months, you’ll probably know of the Tokyobling Manifesto. In particular, the thing that I only blog about things I like. Today is no different! I do love the way Pepsi releases a few novelty drinks every few months. I’ve posted before about the Shiso Pepsi and the Azuki Pepsi, and I still remember fondly, the Cucumber Pepsi. All great drinks, fun and good tasting. Today however, as much as I applaud Pepsi, their latest drink might not be quite as great as the earlier ones in the series. Pepsi Mont Blanc. Tasting and smelling like, a Mont Blanc cake. I’m not a big fan of Mont Blanc cakes so I wouldn’t know how well they pulled it off, but the drink itself was, well, let’s just say it wasn’t as good as the other ones. Still, my hat is off to Pepsi for yet another crazy off the wall one time drink!
I wonder when we get to see a rerun of the Pepsi Cucumber?
Interesting. Anyhow, if it taste like cake, i don’t think it will good. haha.

That one looks fantastic! Yes, I wish I was more of a Mont Blanc fan, they look great! But I am more of a cheesecake person myself… (^-^;)
Ah! I <3 モンブラン! I'd love to try this drink. I wonder why they don't release those one-off types here in the US! And did the cucumber one taste good? I love the endless creativity in Japan over drinks!
The cucumber one was fantastic! Just the perfect hint of cucumber mixed with a soft 7-Up kind of drink. Yes, Pepsi is slowly out-pacing Coca-Cola on the package design front, I wonder what happened to their plans of streamlining their design center productions globally?
Also… I love the shape. It subconsciously makes you think you’ll get a pretty figure from drinking it (entirely untrue!

I’ve never seen so many original drinks than in Japan.. often good surprises… sometimes less
I fell completely addicted to the Fanta Grape , even if not so original than Shiso, Azuki or Mount Blanc’ tastes!!! Next time I go to Japan, I’ll bring back a box
Yes…! I didn’t know they don’t have Fanta Grape overseas? That was the first weird soft drink I fell in love with. There’s been many others! The only thing I regret not having here in Japan is Lemon Fanta! Why is that?!

Tried it in Fukushima few weeks back. While I’m a big fan of weird drinks, this on not so much. Smells good, but tastes not like pepsi, but watery fake maron(chestnut) with fake brandy. Couchsurfing north then Tokyo now Kyoto next Nagoya so I’m getting friends’ opinion as a negative too. But I love japan and this is another experience in a country rich with.
