Tokyobling's Blog

Lucky Luke

Posted in Animals by tokyobling on November 14, 2010

Let me take a break from the usual Tokyobling stuff on here and go all soft and furry on you. This is Luke, or as I call him, Lucky Luke. Luke was just a few days old when his mother abandoned him last month. Being born this late in the year, he and the rest of the litter would have had no chance surviving as stray cats during the short but intensive Tokyo winter. Some public workers found the abandoned kittens and took them into their office where luckily a very nice couple I know happened to be passing and the three kittens were quickly adopted. Taking care of a kitten that is just a few days old is no easy matter though, Luke had to bottle fed several times every day, as well as all the other things new born kittens can’t do for themselves. I wish people would be more careful in how they handle stray cats, not only in Japan but in all countries! Still, Luke was one of the lucky ones, and now he’s probably going to have a long happy life with a very nice family who is already spoiling him!

Yes, I know, does the world really need another blog about kittens? I don’t know about the world, but Tokyobling does! As a side note, shooting kittens is really much more difficult than puppies. Kittens rarely sit still and are not as interested in human eyes and activities as dogs are!

Aww, I think I’m melting*_*adorable pics, and I have to agree, he is very lucky^^

about making photos of cats:D..well, my cat actually is pretty easy to shoot, so just like people it depends on the cat wheter you can make a good shot. but of course it’s a matter of skill as well sometime:D

Timi, thanks for the kind comment! He sure is super-cute! You are lucky to have a cat that isn’t camera shy! Luke almost never looked at the camera even when he did keep still for more than a split second. In these photos he looks quiet and shy but in real life he went around the room like a whirlwind! Aaa… I wish I could keep a couple of cats, but my tiny Tokyo flat is not very good for animals…

You can NEVER have too many blog posts about kittens, or puppies or whatever catches your attention!

After all, you track your blog to see what catches your interest and to see your wonderful photography!!

Let cuteness reign whenever you wish. I’m certainly not above wallowing in cuteness.

“Too much of a good thing can be wonderful” has broad applications.

Haha… I must remember that quote! In this case, it really is true…!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh adorable cuteness overload! *screams and faints* His coloring is very striking, too! He’s almost a blue color, isn’t he! Sweet, adorable Lucky Luke!

Yes, I have never seen such cats here in Japan before! His mother or father must have been somebody’s very expensive pet. Most strays are not quite this handsome…!

    Poor little ones…
The last pic is adorable…. He seems to have sweet dreams after the emotions of his very first days!!! Now he is really Lucky Luke :)
I wish him and his brother and sister a long and peacefull life !!
You don’t want to adopt a kitten ??? xD

    • tokyobling said, on November 16, 2010 at 2:44 am

Thanks Lili! (^-^) I do wish I could have adopted a few kittens, but my tiny Tokyo flat is not a good home for animals of any kind (it’s hardly a good home for me I think…). One day when I can afford to live a little bigger… (^-^;)

I am a dog person because I think cats have an air of ignorance and arrogance stronger than me, lol. But this is one awfully cute kitty cat

      Haha… well, you’re also very honest! (^-^)
