Bridge to Nowhere

Posted in Places by tokyobling on May 14, 2011

In Koganei I found two amazing foot bridges, with a very certain and fatal destination for anyone brave enough to try them out. Here’s one of them. Do you think you’d be able to stop walking in time? I hope it was sealed off at the entrance. Koganei Station, western Tokyo, March 2011.

Haha…. that’s right! Usually doorways to other dimensions are hidden, like the Narnia closet or the Rabbit Hole of Alice’s. But this one is right in the open… could be a great opening for a novel!

Perhaps they plan to build a swimming pool on the pavement!

If you should happen to see that bridge complete in the future please post the photos to us :)

    haha this is great :)
so the other bridge is on the other side?

Thanks Tikey! No, there is no other bridge. This one used to connect Koganei station with the street level, and it will probably be reconnected once the renewal of the station is complete. (^-^)
