This wild looking kid was studying me intently as I was stuck shooting a parade in middle of Nagoya a couple of weeks ago. I loved that hair, had to show you.
Haha… how was the party? Don’t worry, you’ll get a whole bunch of them soon I hope! With a smart daughter like yours, it’s just a matter of time until she hooks up with a kind and intelligent zoologist. Aren’t all zoologist kind and intelligent though? (^-^)
The baby was adorable, but E told me not to hold my breath. Grandma made sure to pop the baby into E’s arms, along with another baby brought by her daughter’s friend. (Trying to be helpful?)
Did get to meet the beautiful Asian daughter-in-law of the hostess, which explained her exceptionally beautiful little granddaughters. (Really, the young woman was so pretty I couldn’t think what to say for a moment when we were introduced.) If only E could meet the Asian man of her dreams…!
As we go further out of Tokyo, many of the little kids on the trains haven’t seen the unique combo of a Westerner with really curly hair-like I have. Often, the really little ones will “pet” my hair- like I’m a dog- as they’ve never seen hair of that texture. It’s hilarious- and very upsetting to their parents. That’s how I learned to say,”It’s ok” in Japanese and let them go ahead and play away. And walk away looking like I just got caught by a crazed teasing comb…..
Haha… I remember similar things visiting rural Vietnam 20 odd years ago. Fortunately (unfortunately really…) my hair is straight! You must be really popular with Japanese kids! Lucky! (^-^)
How handsome he is!
He must have a lot of success at the kindergarten
I bet! Not easily scared either…! (^-^)
I envy his natural permed hair! Mine is super straight that chemical perm doesn’t work:(
So adorable!!
Me too! Ah… to be young and handsome! (^-^;)
You are killing me here! Ah! Too adorable!
Haha…. the old mothering instincts kicking in right? (^-^)
>^..^<
Today I'm going to a party to welcome someone else's first grand-baby.
*grump*

Oh, doing the old “just hold him for a second (and see if that won’t change your mind) Dear…” trick? I hope it works! (^-^)
I love the kids eyes more than the hair:D
He seems pretty determined and confident!
Oh yes! (^-^)
What a lovely child <3 I'm in love with these small hands and curls ^^
Isn’t he adorable?
