Newlyweds

Posted in People by tokyobling on November 1, 2011

I think I have a hidden talent: wedding photographer. Here’s a happy looking couple whose attention I managed to get through their car window the other week. A white limousine is the way to go even here in Tokyo! But I like the traditional transport too, or why not on foot, or in a traditional kimono?

I’d be smiling if I were him too.

Haha… I’ll admit to a slight pang of jealousy while taking this photo! (^-^;) I have a whole series, and she is even lovelier when she breaks out in a smile… too lovely to post!

I thought ordinary people don’t usually look this fancy. Even for their wedding. Except on this blog. :)

I don’t think they are ordinary people… there was quite a crowd there watching them! (^-^) Thanks though!

You should seriously consider being a wedding photographer! (What about a part time job?) The rickisha action photo is great too! And I think it’s much better and original to use it as a wedding vehicle than a limousine.

    • tokyobling said, on November 2, 2011 at 1:18 am

I love the jinrikisha too! In fact I wouldn’t mind having that as a part time job, pulling it. But it sorts of lose its charm if pulled by a white guy in a suit… (^-^;)

I don’t think I have the stomach to be a wedding photographer though. Not after following some of their online forums…! The things they go through…

that IS a lovely photo. this is your great blog, and your photos are much better than you admit(and better than mine) but I thought you might like to see this shot of traditional wedding couple in rickisha at Asakusa http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kd6LBL422GM/Tpokzrf4DSI/AAAAAAAAAps/EveNTRtGuAk/s1600/IMG_0573.jpg

Thank you Vishy, you are much too kind! That is a cool shot. I like the eye contact! I see them sometimes in Asakusa, but the guys with the lanterns in front are kind of unusual!

If I lived closer I would ask you to be my photographer on my wedding :D
Though I don’t know when that will be.. oh, and I hate the photos of myself.. :D
