Dog – Shu Ogasawara
I can’t tell if this piece by Shu Ogasawara (小笠原主) at Musashino Art University (武蔵野美術大学) is art or part of the interior design of a really up scale Tokyo night club! It is called simply Dog (犬) and I found it at this year’s final exhibition at the National Art Center in Tokyo’s Roppongi district. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, there is nothing about the artist online. Still, I love the simplistic beauty of a tile dog.
I love how the tiles take on the form of the dog’s body structure. Really brings out its strength.
I agree! It’s hard to see the tiles as fur, it looks more like muscles!
