Ruriko Nonogaki
Young artist Ruriko Nonogaki (野々垣瑠璃子) exhibited this fantastic dog like animal statue wearing a traditional wedding costume at the National Art Center in 2010. I am unsure as to the title of this work. Here’s another of her fantastic dog statues.

Uh-oh.
It has nine tails…
(Fascinating!)
I was kind of expecting a joke based on a referral to medieval weaponry… (^-^)
This is pretty cool fusion of art and lore.
Thank you QQ! (^-^)
That is just brilliant. (I suspect, btw, that the multiple tails are to indicate frantic wagging.)
Haha… that’s a great interpretation! (^-^)
That is both beautiful and… just… weird!
Thanks Val! Art is more your thing I think! (^-^)
Your photography is an art.
Much too kind Val! (^-^;)
I wonder if it’s supposed to resemble the nine-nailed fox..
Nah, it’s clearly Ninetales from Pokémon! (j/k you’re probably right
)
Haha… Pokemon! (^-^;)
Hmmm… I have to research that! (^-^)
It’s, great, beautiful..and creepy (those eyes)?
Yes, a little creepy maybe! (^-^;)
