Cool Mist Machine

Posted in People, Places, Stuff by tokyobling on September 2, 2012

When the thermometer refuses to go below 35 degrees for week after week, there’s only one thing to do, bring out the big guns! At some places around Tokyo you can spot these huge mist cannons, blasting out a fine water mist that makes the air just that little more bearable. And of course, they are great for drawing crowds! I think the biggest ones I have seen so far is at the platform of the Korakuen Staiton on the Marunouchi line, but this one on the foot of Tokyo Sky Tree isn’t bad either!

Haha… when you see one you have to try and get as close as possible! (^-^)

I ran into these during my summer trip this year, too.
I doubt they’re very healthy if you keep standing close to them, though.

Haha… absolutely not! But for a minute or two, before you get drenched in water!

In a weather like this summer had, it sure is one of the best ways to keep oneself cool :D I would bring a barstool and sit in front of it for a while!

Those blue milk crates are the biggest I’ve ever seen. How do they bungie them to the racks on their bikes?
