Posted in Places by tokyobling on September 22, 2012

It never gets boring, it looks even bigger when you see it almost stand alone, even with the little building on the left of it that really is huge in itself. Tokyo Sky Tree as seen from the opposite side of the Sumida River.

The sky tree is really impressive, still somehow the greenerie and the water takes away my eyes from it.

I agree. It is easy to forget that Tokyo is a port city…!

Can’t wait to visit Sky tree next time I am in Tokyo. I heard there is a planetarium on the ground floor. Would like to see that too!

I still haven’t been inside, apart from the underground station, but someday soon!

The water just looks so blue, it seems unreal. Mostly because California has such polluted water. I remember taking a nighttime drive by a river in Long Beach and it smelled so awful, we couldn’t lower our windows.

I’m sorry to hear that! Japan has its fair share of dirty rivers, I guess this one is fairly polluted too, but being one of the most water rich countries on Earth, we also have the most amazing fresh water springs near the mountains!

I think in the mountains there are some nicer water sources. You can see the white snow caps when you see them in the distance. It’s really nice. I don’t think my camera can capture it, but I wish it could. But I think any pollution is a sad thing. It’s really distressing to know what we’ve done as a society. There’s got to be another way.
