While in Kyoto a few weeks ago I saw these two wonderfully beautiful young ladies, in the historic Gion district. Proving once again that the kimono is one of the most elegant styles of clothing in the world.
I’ve never seen this way of doing the obi at the front. It’s super chic!
You’re right! I didn’t notice that at first… (^-^;)
This is absolutely fascinating! And I love the pix, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the kind comment! (^-^)
Personally I wouldn’t agree that it’s the most elegant one, but they surely are beautiful and I love the colors of the red one!
Haha… well you know how much I love Japan! But I also love the Vietnamese Ao dai… (^-^;)
How fortunate you are to have access to not only custom and the beauty, but the freedom to express and share with dignity
Thank you for the kind comment! (^-^)/
These Ladies are Like a cuLturaL attraction of their own ^^ beautifuL!
Yes, they really are! I hope they didn’t mind too much me taking their portrait… (^-^;)
I do agree it is a beautiful style of clothing but what a chore to put on! Love the pictures as always!!
Thank you for the kind comment! Indeed, it is a chore… much easier for the men!
Everytime I see kimonos with beautiful patterns like this, I’m always amazed with the creativity people have!
I totally agree! I wish I was half as stylish! (^-^;)
後姿is so beautiful! It makes me so proud of elegant Japanese women!
Isn’t it? I am spoiled for elegance after living here! (^-^;)
