Japanese Faces – Kawase Matsuri

Posted in People, Places by tokyobling on July 22, 2009

I love Japan. I really do. This country has some of the most amazing people, the most interesting phenomena and the most fabulous things you’ll ever find. At my recent visit in Chichibu, deep in the western parts of Saitama I was struck by the beauty of the local people. Is it possible to see faces like this and not feel wonder at the simply amazing gift of life? How cool it is to be alive – here and now. Days like this, walking around with my camera, I know that I am one of the luckiest people on Earth, but not as lucky as that proud grand father with his grandson on his shoulders, isn’t that just adorable? Enjoy!

‘Tis the season to be jolly! Summer is serious fun time in Japan, every city or neighborhood has their own and why miss out? You never know what will happen tomorrow. Thanks for your kind comment!
