Manzamo Point – Okinawa

Posted in Nature, Places by tokyobling on March 2, 2011

I love Tokyo more than any other place on Earth, but sometimes the lack of space, sky and nature can get to you, which is why I escaped to Okinawa last month, just to get little bit of breathing space. One of the places I visited was Manzamo Point, about half way up the main Okinawan island. It’s medicine for the soul to be able to see the horizon every now and then.

Yes, especially if you haven’t actually been there. Now I have nicer memories of this place! (^-^)

Thank you Ambler! Well, I took this at the end of January, so it would be winter!

Thank you Timi! I think the local name for this particular piece of scenery is actually the elephant trunk or something. People love to name rocks and I’ve long since stopped paying attention! (^-^;)
