Friday Night = Festival Night!
It’s Friday, the start of the weekend and the start of dozens of festivals, big and small all over Japan! So grab your best friends, pick up a six pack of ramune, get your yukata on, sling your shamisen over your shoulder and head out to your closest matsuri tonight! The Festival Cat is waiting for you!
If festival cat is waiting, then I’m in! How’s a trip to Yoshiwara sounding this Sunday?

Too cute, I love the outfit. I think it’s the headband that sells it. Isn’t it the accessories of the outfit that really complete the look.
OK, I’m geared up and ready to go my friend. Just need to find a flight….

Japanese cats are generally not very handsome, but their tabbies are superior! (^-^)

How do the Japanese raise such well behaved kitties? My cat would not have tolerated that!

My cat would murder me slowly and painfully if I would try something like this 😀
But this little guy here looks awesome!

Haha… at least you would have to be very careful about your sleeping arrangements for the next few years… (=^・^=)

That cat is excellent! And I have to say, I had no idea the Japanese had so much festival tradition before I started reading this blog. Living in a certain European country that lacks said tradition, it makes me like Japan even more 🙂

Thank you Ulrik and welcome to the blog! I am glad you are enjoying it! Yes, Europe needs to rediscover itself I think… there’s so much local culture that has disappeared in the last century or two…

Are there festivals in November? Or am I gonna miss out the next time I’m in town? Must. find. cats. to. photograph.

woot woot! (^O^) (I still think of that emoticon as a bat, or a double fistpump…) At the rate things are going, I’m gonna have to create an itinerary sooner rather than later. Or at least a bucket list 🙂 Just heard about cat cafes and that has to go on it!

Haha… first impressions are hard to shake! Cat cafes are great, but very very hard to pick. There is a huge difference between good and mediocre ones!
