Iroha – Taiko Kids

I saw these two wonderfully cute little wadaiko (taiko) drummers in Mishima in the middle of last month. They performed as a mixed group of local taiko groups and drummers from some towns in Miyagi prefecture that are trying to rebuild themselves. It was an excellent perfumers. I love how these two just look so professional before going on stage. I wish I could be this cool!

    They look like shrunken little adults, I can tell so much from their expressions. But they’ve had to deal with so much, it kind of forces you to grow up when you are met with such a terrible turn of events. I hope there is time and opportunity for them to rekindle the joys of childhood, childhood is a very important part of your experience I think.

    Love the depth of field. another beautiful shot! makes you wonder what them two are thinking of or looking at.
