Aoyama Ao Building

Posted in Places by tokyobling on September 18, 2012

This is the strangely shaped Ao Building in Tokyo’s Aoyama district. I have blogged about this building before, but in the daytime. It looks equally stunning at night. A must visit for fans of modern architecture visiting Tokyo, and you also get pretty nice views from the garden on the backside, but I’m not sure you are allowed to take photos there!

I love it, but at the same time I think the perspective might make me a bit dizzy. I think I like almost all types of architecture, there’s something about buildings. It’s also quite something to look out from such a high and interesting space. Hmm….

This building has an interesting shape, but a lot of the dizziness must come from the warping effect of a 16mm wide angle lens! (^-^;)

That’s really cool, even if it’s unintentional.

Although I’m short on time to comment every time I visit, your work is still amazing, yet beautifully simple. Keep it up…

I miss Japan, I miss the variety that Tokyo provides, I miss everything…but on the other side, I have more time for myself, family, friends, who, btw, are all walking distance away, not like in Tokyo where meeting for a coffee requires a week of planning..

Anyhow, glad to see your photos again…

I totally understand you. I also suffer from that don’t coffee meeting requiring a week (or more, in most cases) prior notice…
