Uniqlo Flagship Store – Ginza
When you mention the name Ginza the first thing that comes to mind certainly isn’t cheap fashion, but times and economy changes and these days it isn’t hard to find plenty of dirt cheap fashion stores in the chic Ginza district of Tokyo. Leading the charge is Gu, but coming up close behind is the Uniqlo flagship store with its revolving mannequins in the giant show windows. Gu and Uniqlo are actually the same company, and both are the biggest names in budget clothing here in Japan, very affordable. Happy shopping!
I visited the Uniqlo in Manhattan, and it’s nowhere as big as the Ginza store! I also discovered the clothes are made for someone a lot skinnier than me, as is often the case with Japanese clothing. 😀 I find it very interesting that the Japanese make such beautifully designed items and sell them at affordable prices. I just discovered the Muji stores and love their stationery and office supplies. They even sell incense for less than $2 US a box!
