New work from the Great Mushrooming
Regular readers will remember a post I did about four years ago, showing the nice work of the Great Mushrooming, it is time to update it with his latest work that went on sale at this year’s Design Festa, the 40th. His work is as popular as ever and by the time I got there on the second day of the event it was almost all sold out. I assume most of it went within the first hour. This is zen and peacefull, I was trying to figure out the process and finally found how to do it since he does not sell outside of japan 😦 . Anyway it is always nice to see those work.

Hey, I was there on the second day too! (Along with about six kerbillion other people, of course. heh.) The minute I saw your previous post about this guy’s work, I decided to go the next chance I got, and it did not disappoint! It was every bit as beautiful as your lovely pictures. Saw lots and lots of other amazing stuff there too. This must have been Felting Year or something – did you see the goldfish and cats and anime figures made of felt?

I missed you again! Yes, there was a lot of felting. Maybe people have been practicing over the summer? There were even a bunch of international felt artists that I have never seen before. I saw some anime felt, lot and lots of cats but no goldfish! (^-^;)
