Rendaiji Sakura and Flowers – Izu Peninsula

Posted in Places by tokyobling on April 29, 2015

Some more photos of my walk through the village of Rendaiji in Shimoda City on the Izu Peninsula a couple of years ago. Shimoda City is located on the southern half of the peninsula and is home of the famous Kawazu sakura, the earliest blooming of all the sakura or cherry trees, in Japan.

    You lucky man!
I have lived for 39 years in Shizuoka prefecture and haven’t been able to visit Shimoda yet!
    Well done, mate!
