Tokyo Sky Tree Up Close

Posted in Places by tokyobling on August 31, 2012

It’s been quite some time since I had a chance to visit the Sky Tree, Tokyo’s latest tourist attraction. The whole area around the foot of the tower has gotten quite a face lift and there seems to be something for everyone. Photographers get something challenging to try their skills on, there’s lot of shops and restaurant, plenty of cute cafes around the tower and even boat tours on the rivers and canals around the tower. Possible the most popular attraction is also very much free, the fountain on the south side of the tower had plenty of very happy kids jumping around in it! The second to last photo is “the” shot of the Sky Tree, this spot has become the favorite among photographers for the excellent combination of tower, sky and canal. If you only get one photo of the Sky Tree, get it here! The last photo is from the inside base of the tower as you exit the train station that serves the area, Oshiage or Tokyo Sky Tree Station. Enjoy!

And I haven’t even entered the tower in these photos… I’m saving that for later… no need to rush and do all cool things at once! (^-^)
